The Steppingstone of Fear
Saturday Jan 14, 2023
Saturday Jan 14, 2023
Fear is a fundamental element of the human condition. Too often, our fears paralyze us, or leave us vulnerable to the manipulation of others. What happens, though, if we view our fears as instruments in our Creator's hands? Could He possibly make something beautiful out of them?
Exodus 1:1-6:1; Isaiah 27:6-28:13, 29:22-23; Luke 12:4-5; Philippians 2:12-13; 1 John 4:17-24

The Where and When of Home
Saturday Jan 07, 2023
Saturday Jan 07, 2023
If home is where the heart is, what does it mean to be so heavenly minded that we are no earthly good? Maybe we should adjust our thinking a bit. Instead of thinking about heaven after we die, maybe we should think about the intersection of eternity with our moment-by-moment present. We should learn as much as we can about our eternal home. It will help us bring our current reality more in line with our Eternal King's desires.

Walk Like An Egyptian?
Saturday Dec 31, 2022
Saturday Dec 31, 2022
God's ways are different from the ways of the world, as Messiah Yeshua explained. So why do we see Joseph, a man of God, apparently following the ways of the world when God put him in charge of Egypt's government?

We are quick to proclaim that we can do all things in Messiah Yeshua, and that our God provides for all our needs, but do we really believe that when hard times come?

What’s Right In My Brother’s Eyes
Saturday Dec 17, 2022

The problem with offenses is not that they happen, because offenses are simply part of our existence. The problem comes with the responses. Hopefully the one who is offended will forgive, eventually, but what about the offender? What could he or she do, not only to minimize offenses, but to minimize the damage when offense inevitably happens?

Discouragement happens. We can't avoid it. We can, however, learn from it. How and what we learn from discouragement directly impacts our effectiveness for the Kingdom calling issued from our Creator to each one of us.

When it comes to the times and seasons of our Creator, why do we suppose we are more enlightened than previous generations? We look forward to Messiah coming back to carry us out of this messy world, but we may not completely understand what that means.

Childish Inclinations and Evil Consequences
Saturday Oct 22, 2022
Saturday Oct 22, 2022
So much of life is neither good nor evil, but can be turned either way according to what we choose. The problem is, we would rather not choose. We justify our non-choice by blaming God or the devil for our decision not to make a decision, and then we wonder why nothing seems to change for the better.
